The idea behind the mark

The symbol stacks rounded shapes (subscriptions, bank cards, workspaces) and holds them inside a rhombus that leans forward into an arrow. The rhombus gives structure and a quiet sense of value without fintech clichés; the forward lean is about staying ahead of payments. The geometry stays rounded and calm, so it holds up in one colour and at icon size.

The pitch deck

I shaped the founder’s investor story into a 12-slide deck: his own experience of losing money to invisible subscriptions, the wider problem, the research, the solution and the product.

In the product

The identity carried into the live product: landing page, subscription calendar, reminders and filters, in a dark interface where red and teal do the signalling.

Naming first

I proposed six names, each rooted in Swahili and each carrying its own positioning line, so the choice was about strategy, not taste. Kesho, meaning “tomorrow”, was taken forward: in tech, clients want partners who keep them relevant.

The mark

The symbol comes from intersecting directional paths: global networks, distributed talent and interconnected systems, abstracted into one controlled form. It communicates connection through movement and construction instead of literal tech symbols, and it works as a system: primary logo, vertical lockup, icon, badge and wordmark.

Graphic language

A repeating pattern built from the symbol, and a flowing “dynamic wave” line system for web sections, social graphics, presentations and motion. Raleway carries the typography: clean, geometric and readable.

The guest experience

The identity lives where guests actually touch it: soap, towels, bath mats and the first view of the residence.

With the identity in place, I proposed the next step: a responsive website that turns the brand into a booking tool.

One family, four collections

Each collection has its own colour and mood (turmeric orange, black and gold for Perfectly, amber for Glutathione, soft pink for the lip care) while the logo, type and layout stay constant.

Bilingual labels in French and English carry the description, directions and ingredients, with SKU and volume set to the print dielines.

One system, five pillars

Each pillar got its own brochure on the same structure: what the programme offers, why M2K, and how to get involved. Colour and imagery shift; the grid, hierarchy and partner strip stay, so every piece is recognisably M2K.

Reports and brand applications

Quarterly activity reports for partners in French, English and Italian, plus logo applications, an animated logo intro, letterhead, recognition certificates and event visuals.

The old mark was a generic building icon with a list of services underneath: it described the business but did not build confidence. The new identity reduces it to a single architectural “A”, part roofline, part doorway, set in Montserrat with the line “Bâtir un héritage durable” (build a lasting legacy).

Pouch redesign

The old labels were white, with small photos and a thin band at the bottom. The new ones fill the pouch with colour, one per product, put the product name large across the top and the SET logo in the corner.

The logo update

The original mark was a full-colour illustration wrapped in leaves: rich, but hard to print small or in one colour. The update keeps the same woman, afro and hoop earrings, redrawn as a single clean line drawing with a lighter wordmark, so it works on a label, a stamp, a bag or a phone screen.
